In the Absence of Sight
In The Absence of Sight, an exhibition by Alelejandro Acierto, centers on the erasure of the Indigenous Philipinx. The ghosts of a people group. The absence.
The design of this catalog and the exhibition branding focus on creating something that felt like it was missing - gone but still there, a ghost. The blind emboss on the cover, clear vinyl on the gallery windows, quotes floating in the middle of blank pages, and strong questions left hanging at the bottom of pages, all seek to emphasize this idea.

To translate print to digital, the blind embossed title was turned into a light grey, balancing the lowest opacity possible with legibility, depending on the specific output.
Master of Fine Arts Exhibition Catalog + Branding
I created a branding system that was cohesive while celebrating the differences between the 3 graduating MFA candidates. Using a dynamic and upbeat color palette, I centered each introduction spread around the artists’ unique handwriting, to further emphasize their individuality.

Interactive Poster
This interactive poster featured removable flyers, with a flexible branding system, so that each flyer had a unique design while maintaining a recognizable brand. As the flyers were removed, the poster evolved - creating a dynamic and continually eye catching experience. I also worked to create physical solutions for the poster, such as creating a jig to drill holes through the flyers and providing additional support behind the screw pegs so the poster was able to withstand the force of removing the flyers.
I translated the print experience of the interactive poster, into a digital experience by creating a series of GIFs used on social media and other digital outlets.
